Be sure to check out Geo Necro, which opens from 6—9pm this Friday, May 6th at ADA Gallery in Richmond, VA. I have a drawing included in the show, which features work by 86 artists, and was curated by Ryan Browning and Casey Jex Smith. Geo Necro explores themes of fantasy, magic, and the performative transcendence of role-playing games. All works from the exhibition have been compiled into a publication and playable fantasy role-playing game in the style of Dungeons and Dragons, printed in an edition of 200. This exhibition will feature the original art, the publication, a marathon playing of the game in the gallery by artists, and a performance by Casey Jex Smith.
